Białka Tatrzańska is located on the eastern side of Podhale. The town is crossed by Białka river that starts along the most popular trail in Polish Tatras - from Palenica Białczańska to Morskie Oko - the river then goes all the way to Czorsztyńskie Lake as Dunajec river influent. This indicates inter alia that Białka Tatrzańska is really close to the trail to Morskie Oko - only 20 km - through the road that bypasses most traffic from Zakopane.
The starting point to many trails in Polish Tatras - Kuźnice - and the cable car to Kasprowy Wierch - are only 25 km away. 27 km is the distance to the very popular Treetop Walk in Slovak Zdziar with great 360 panorama, from there its only a while to get to Slovak High Tatras with Lomnica and picturesque Strbske lake with nearby Skok waterfall.
Though there are many easy tourist routes in Tatras, including mild walks for children and seniors, it has to be underlined, that Tatras are demanding mountains. Easier trails are in Białka itself as it is located on Spisko-Gubałowskie Foothills and in Pieniny mountains nearby. Białka's location provides easy access not only to the Tatras, but also Czorsztyńskie lake, Niedzica and Czorsztyn castles, as well as Pieniny National Park as a whole - both Polish and Slovak parts.
